Arrive at Amritsar. Visit Golden Temple, the most revered pilgrim center for Sikhs, one of the five Takhts and a renewed tourist attraction. Also, visit Jalianwala Bagh and evening beating retreat ceremony at Wagah Border. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast drive to Dharamshala Proceed to Dharamsala (3500+ ft asl, 120 km - 3 hrs 45 min). Transfer to hotel for check-in. Visit Norbulingka Institute, a must-visit for any visitor to Dharamsala for a Tibetan cultural heritage experience and St Johns Church. Time permitting, visit war memorial at Dharamsala, that commemorates martyrs of the area. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
Morning visit to Mcleodgunj (6500+ ft asl, 10 kms), visit Dalai Lama Monastery and Bhagshunath Temple (3 kms from Mcleodgunj). Visit the local street market for Tibetan artifacts. In the evening time permitting, Pilgrimage oriented travelers may head for Chinmaya Tapovan, an ashram complex established by the late Swami Chinmayananda (10 kms from Dharamshala). Guests also have an option to head for Naam Art Gallery, a renowned art gallery. Night Stay at hotel.
After breakfast drive to Manali by surface Enroute visit Kullu valley, Beas River, Dashehra maidan, etc. Arrive and transfer to hotel Manali. Evening free for rest. Night stay in Manali.
Morning proceed to Visit the 450 years old Hadimba Devi Temple, the oldest temple in Manali, Tibetan center & monastery, Vasisth village, known for its hot Sulpher springs Roerich art Gallery. Baathist Temple, Solang Valley which offers a spectacular view of glaciers and snow-capped peaks..at an altitude of 3978 meters. Also, visit Kothi, Rahala Water falls on the way. (Subject to weather conditions and road being open). The rest of the day is at leisure or takes a stroll down the Mall road. Night stay in Manali.
Travel by surface from Manali to Kaza over Rohtang Pass (3980 m) and Kunzam Pass (4558 m). Enroute also cross villages like Losar, Hansa and Rangrik villages. On arrival check-in at guest house. Overnight at guest house.
Morning visit Ki monastery and Kibber village. Travel onwards to Tashigong village to view Chao Chao Kang Nilda peak. Afternoon free to explore the town of Kaza, the main hub of Spiti valley. Overnight at guest house.
After breakfast drive from Kaza to Pin Valley where you have a chance to view Ibex who come down to Pin river for drinking. At Pin valley visit the Kungri monastery. Later travel onwards visiting Lalung monastery, visit Dhankar Monastery situated on a hilltop. It is regarded to have once been a fort and was also the residence of the ruler of Spiti – the Nano. Continue drive onwards to Tabo. On arrival check-in at the guest house. Evening visit Tabo Monastery. Founded in 996 AD by the great teacher Richensang-po, Tabo is renowned for its breathtaking murals and stucco images – and is often called “The Ajanta of the Himalayas”. The largest monastic complex in Spiti, the old section has 9 temples, 23 chortens, a monks chamber, and a nuns chamber. In trans-Himalayan Buddhism, Tabo’s sanctity is next only to Tibet’s Tholing gompa. Overnight at guest house.
Morning visit Tabo monastery. After the visit travel onwards to Kalpa en route visiting Nako village situated on banks of a small lake. Visit the village and the Buddhist temples with stucco images and murals. Near Nako is a rock where a footprint like impression is ascribed to Padmasambhava. Continue to drive to Kalpa en route visiting confluence of Satluj & Spiti rivers at Khab. Kalpa village is located in the backdrop of the Kinner Kailash mountain range. On arrival check-in and overnight at hotel.
Morning visit Roghi village which has traditional Kinnaur houses and a small temple. Walk back to Kalpa over the Roghi cliff. Afternoon free to explore Kalpa village or visit Recong Peo town. Overnight at hotel.
After Breakfast Checkout from the Hotel and drive back home!
